Milan director Marco Fassone joined a Q&A session with fans today on Facebook live and touched on an array of topics. He spoke about various subjects, ranging from Milan's objective to the San Siro to Italy missing out on the World Cup. The CEO began with Milan's objective, stating, "the objective hasn't changed. We submitted a plan to UEFA only showing Europa League qualification to explain that if we don't reach the Champions League there won't be any particular problems." From there Fassone spoke about Milan's start to the season, and whether or not the team is missing something, "this Milan definitely is missing something, but we must also consider that the others got off to very strong start. I hope that we can begin to do well in Serie A and the others begin to lose a little bit." On Montella he said, "he is absolutely our coach, we are close to him and he has our faith."
Fassone then went on to speak a little about Italy's failure to reach the world cup, "I am sad. It hasn't happened in a long time and I am afraid. From a professional side I believe it will give us the opportunity to improve. I don't think we need to change everything, but we need to improve. Some good things were done. We have a nice group of young Italian players who can go to the national team and create a strong rossoneri core there in the future."
He then went on to speak about the San Siro, "We believe the San Siro doesn't allow us to meet the economic results we could achieve. We must do something. A stadium for Milan alone is needed. I don't know if it will be the San Siro or not, but it is certain that we need a stadium where we can make our own sales and be in cohesion and closer to our fans."
