Milan coaching search, Spalletti and Inter negotiating over pay issue: the situation

Luciano Spalletti is the top target being sought by Milan directors Boban and Maldini to take over ahead of the potential sacking of Marco Giampaolo. The issue currently is the former Inter coach's contract, with two years left remaining. Currently, Spalletti is proposing to Inter a severance payment equal to one year of his contract (around €5m net), but Inter are eyeing a significantly smaller sum.
