Diego Laxalt's future is yet to be defined. During the introductory press conference of other Milan players, Paolo Maldini confirmed that the Uruguayan could be on his way out. At the same time, his agents were at Casa Milan to meet with the Rossoneri directors. Atalanta are currently the most concrete option, but Fiorentina are also after the ex-Genoa player. French club Marseille are also interested in Laxalt, but cannot make an offer to Milan at this time due to Financial Fair Play issues.
After the meeting with Milan, Laxalt's agent declared: "It was a very positive meeting, we are looking for the best solution for Diego and for Milan. We will keep working together with the director. We are talking to some clubs but nothing concrete has come yet. He will leave on loan."
Atalanta would like to try and close for Laxalt. On Thursday the agent of the player will meet with the Bergamo based club and they will work on a loan deal. Milan is open to the formula of loan with obligation to purchase.
