One of the biggest games of the season has lived up to the hype.
One of the biggest games of the season has lived up to the hype.

The Manchester derby. One of the most awaited games of the season. Two heavyweights battling it out on the pitch searching for glory. Manchester City have come out with a mission and that mission was to take down the red side of Manchester. Erling Haaland, one of the best signings of the summer has again today proved why he is a player people should have their eyes on now and for the future. A hattrick against an in form Manchester United from the Norwegian has helped Machester City win at the Etihad. In fact, Manchester United fans were spotted leaving the Etihad already at half time!

Phil Foden today also showed his class. Alongside his teammate Haaland, Foden also scored a hattrick. He is a Man City boy through and through so this hattrick was an important one for him. Haaland and Foden together leading the mission of winning and taking 3 points today must make the City fans proud. Haaland stated after the game "We always want to go forward. We always want to attack and this is what I love about the team".

The impact of the business both Manchester clubs did this summer has proven to be key. Erling Haaland scoring a hattrick and Antony scoring for Manchester United - the recruitments have proven a point today, that they aren't here to mess around.

After total dominance in the first half - Manchester United managed to pull back three goals with the first from summer signing Antony and two of them coming from Martial. For Manchester United, its not all doom and gloom, after a good run of games before the international break, their players also performed well for their national teams respectively. Now they will need to get back into winning ways if they want to persue that Champions League spot for next season.
