Pep Guardiola leads his Manchester City team back to European competition, facing Atalanta in the group stages of the Champions League. In his pre-match press conference, Guardiola spoke a bit about his expectations when facing the nerazzurri team:
"Champions League is a target for us, we are concentrated on that. We need to be more clinical scoring chances in this compeition. With six points we qualify for the next round, it can be a big step forward. I have a lot of faith in my team but I know that there are other clubs that can win this competition. For a team like Atalanta, what they did last year, it's incredible. It's a joy to watch them play. They have courage, taking on markers and going for it. Both squads have a lot of courage, we must get used to their style. It will be a very open match, we will concede goals and score several too. It will be a spectacle, a celebration of football."
