Lazio and Milan will take the field at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, with just one point in the table separating the two clubs. With three points available, both teams will look to get a result out of the match, with both teams eyeing the top four in Serie A. Ahead of the match, Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi spoke during his press conference:
"This will be a tough match for us, even though Milan has some injury concerns. It will be a great match, one we will approach as well as we can for our place in the standings. In the head-to-head matches with top teams we have almost always been cost by single errors, but I believe that we can play well in these matches, otherwise we would not have won the Supercoppa or away at Juventus. We are fourth and we are in the Europa League currently, I am happy."
Inzaghi also discussed the fitness of several players: "Leiva will definitely miss the match, he had a problem on Thursday in training. Durmisi trained today for the first time since his illness. Caicedo trained with the squad, I hope he will be available. Badeljj and Cataldi trained well, I will have to make a decision. Luis Alberto has a good chance to start, as does Correa. It's a plus to have so many attackers available, two will play tomorrow and two will play in Cyprus. Milinkovic-Savic has recovered well, we are hopeful that tomorrow he can be a protagonist, I can tell he is getting better."
