While he was not as decisive as he was in the 2017/18 season, Luis Alberto was a contributor for Lazio this season. Notwithstanding the injuries that impacted his season, especially in the beginning, the Spanish midfielder helped Simone Inzaghi's squad.
Now is the time to think about the future, which may still be with the biancocelesti. Alberto spoke on this during an interview with ABC Sevilla: "In this past season, which was different from the previous which was fantastic, I started badly due to injuries. I had a groin and adductor injury that caused me a lot of pain and forced me to play with infiltrations. I always want to play and in the first months of the season it was not easy, I missed a lot of matches. But at the end I found a new position on the pitch that I like a lot, therefore I'm satisfied.
"My future? I still have three years on my contract after renewing last season. I'm very happy at Lazio and that's the most important thing. We speak about a lot of things, but in football you never know where you can find yourself from one day to another. Will I renew? The news that have arrived to me are only from the press. If there's something concrete, I believe that I will learn it from the club. The club has never told me anything in this sense and I don't know the future plans.
The permanence of Inzaghi, though, could prove to be fundamental: "I know that the manager adores me, with him there's affinity. Inzaghi is a great manager and we're always in contact. For me the important thing is to be happy and I am that, I feel esteemed."
