Simone Inzaghi's Lazio does not control their own destiny in Europa League, as they'll need help from other teams to advance to the Round of 16. He spoke to the press about their upcoming match against Cluj.
"It's an important match, the turn of this round is hanging by a thread. Until the math says we cannot advance, we will try and win the matches at home but we know our chances are slim. The qualification was compromised by our faults and outside factors. I want three points tomorrow."
"I would make the same selections again because we were great at managing certain moments and situations. We had a few players ready, others were less. For tomorrow, Caicedo has a small ankle injury to monitor. Cataldi and Parolo will play, same with Lazzari. I will make my choices while also keeping Sunday's Udinese match in mind. Adekanye? We'll see him on the pitch tomorrow, I don't know if from the start or as a sub. He's young, works hard, and knows there's a lot of work to be done. Proto will play."
"For what we expressed on the pitch, we deserved to pass the group stage. In Serie A we're doing well from the beginning of the season. In Europa League, things haven't worked out for us."
