Jorge Mendes is in Turin to discuss the future of his client Cristiano Ronaldo with Juventus. The agent and the Bianconeri will meet today as Mendes' goal is to make Ronaldo's move to Manchester City happen this summer and in order to do so he will have to discuss the right conditions for Juventus to agree to a departure of CR7.
For their part, the Bianconeri are adamant that Ronaldo could leave only on certain conditions and will evaulate the potential offer that Mendes will table. The agent is in fact pushing to make a transfer happen for free or for a sum below the asking price set by Juventus of €25 million. The next few hours will be decisive to assess if there is the chance that Ronaldo could leave Juve.
What is confirmed is that Ronaldo would like to start a new chapter of his career. Jorge Mendes' objective seems to be that of bringing back Ronaldo to Manchester but with a different shirt, as City are ahead of other potential suitors (such as PSG) and are currently the only viable option for Ronaldo. The Premier League reigning champions seem willing to offer a two-year contract worth €15 million per season after taxes to the Portuguese star.
Should a transfer happen, Juventus will have to find a replacement for Ronaldo with Gabriel Jesus the preferred option. While the Bianconeri would like to include the Brazilian in a potential deal, Manchester City's coach Pep Guardiola has made clear that he will not agree to a departure of his striker.
