Juventus is looking to move past the loss to Verona, having recorded a draw in the Coppa Italia semifinal first leg with Milan, they face Brescia at home next on Sunday. Coach of the bianconeri Maurizio Sarri previewed the test in his pre-match press conference, while aware that rivals Inter and Lazio playing each other gives Juve an opportunity to secure a lead atop the tables: "Brescia is a team that has always tried to play football even if they are sitting low in the table. It's not easy to face them especially when they're away from home." Sarri also discussed the table, with Juve, Inter, and Lazio all in competition: "It was clear from the start that this season would be different, but it is a motivating situation. The match between Lazio and Inter is important but not decisive, we must think about our match and collect as many points as possible."
Sarri also spoke about some of the individual performances from the Coppa Italia match this week. "Berardeschi? He's not yet in the group, he could return next week. Was Ramsey played in midfield against Milan because he was unconvincing at trequartista? No, it was our plan to limit Theo Hernandez and give Ramsey the best opportunity to perform. I saw significant steps forward against Milan. The problem with our players isolating our strikers remained. Dybala dropped back too much but rewatching the match he played well, but this behavior meant that Ronaldo had less support in the final part of the match."
