Juventus' top director on the transfer market, Beppe Marotta, will be certainly exploring a number of options in the summer. Despite winning their seventh straight title, the bianconeri will continue to look to get a leg up on their competition. Here were Marotta's comments when asked about the transfer window: "Milinkovic-Savic? He is a great talent, but considering the value he has on the market we will not join in the race because our squad is already highly competitive. We also have several important deals in the works. On Emre Can, whose contract expires on June 30, there are many clubs interested but I am optimistic because Juventus is a great club. When he decides to leave his club we will have a very good chance. In around 10 days that deal could become crystalized, either positively or negatively. Perin is a highly regarded keeper, but to say that we have already made an offer or that we have already reached a deal it is too soon. We are in the most important phase of the market, we will definitely come across many players like Morata who have a fond memory of Juve, but I am forced to deny and not deceive anyone. Darmian? He could be among the opportunities we are looking at, he is Italian and our underpinning must always be made up of players from our national team and who have an ability to understand our environment. I won't deny that he his a profile who interests us. Pogba? The talk is fantasy, his transfer fee and wages are beyond what makes sense to us."
Marotta also discussed players who could be leaving: "Mandzukic? When a player asks to leave we will always look to satisfy them. Right now he has not come to us to say that, so Mandzukic is still with Juve. With Alex Sandro's representatives we will meet next week and I am hopeful that an extension will be on the table, these are the normal conversations that you have at the end of a season. Dybala's place is more or less settled, he is without a doubt a player we have a lot of faith in, we extended his contract and gave him a raise just last year. Higuain is a player who in his second season with us did very well and we are very pleased, if offers come in for him we will not consider them. For Douglas Costa we will definitely activate his purchase option before June 30 so he will definitely remain with us next season."
