Objectives, ambitions, and... awards. Deserved ones, after seven Scudetti in a row and two Champions League finals reached in the past years. Fabio Paratici has received a prize yesterday at Palazzo Gotico, in "his" Piacenza. In that occasion, he's given an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport:
"Champions League? The details are so important, we're hoping for it and know we are a competitive team, like we've been for the past few years. There is a lot of pressure because we're among the best 4-5 teams in the world. We've had a good start but it's not only thanks to the transfer window: there's a lot of work from an extraordinary club behind Allegri's team".
"Napoli? They're not the only ones that can cause us trouble. Milan and Inter have strong squads too, they haven't had the best start as they need a break-in period".
Nedved has declared Paratici was the one behind the CR7 deal: "Everyone has helped me, to say the truth. Agnelli has been fundamental as he's supported me from the first minute. Cristiano and Messi are the best, but the first one really embodies the Juve style, he's a detail-maniac. I've never thought the deal could go wrong, also because he's a champion and when he told me "yes", I knew he wouldn't change his mind. He's now part of our present, but I have to look beyond: we still need to improve".
"Bernardeschi? I think we'll hear a lot about him, he's a player that can reach an international level, both as a bianconero and with the Italian national team. Allegri is really good at making youngsters reach their potential, look at Morata or Dybala. Paulo is one that has always scored 20 goals per season, he's fundamental for us. He didn't forget how to play: there are people who only care about scored goals, we appreciate him for other reasons too. And he's always been very positive".
