Juventus' long successful back three of Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini was disbanded in the summer, after the move of Leonardo Bonucci to Milan. With the two teams set to face this weekend in Serie A, there will not be a reunion of the trio yet, however, with Bonucci out, disqualified because of a red card. In an interview with Sky Sport, Barzagli commented about the tie, and about his coach's criticisms :"Allegri's comments were right on, he is trying to make us better and better. After 10 matches we have been able to score a lot of goals, but there are times where we maybe are giving too many up. I understand that Allegri is mad about it, in the last few years Juventus has always been a solid team, winning matches by playing well and not giving up goals. Playing Milan will be a match against a big team in their stadium, and we know that whoever wants to win in Milan-Juve needs to give a little bit more. Bonucci's absence? It's a disappointment because Leo is a great player, he always loves to face the best. At the same time it would have been a chance to play against our ex-teammate who fought a thousand battles and enjoyed many adventures with us. It's too bad, but it'll happen again another time."
