Genoa marks the first match for Juventus after having obtained qualification to the last 16 of the Champions League. Ahead of the game, Massimiliano Allegri spoke in his press conference:
“We have more players at our disposal compared to when we played Sevilla. Tomorrow will be a battle; Genoa is very aggressive so we have to match their intensity. A good portion of the league will be decided in the next 20 days. Next week Dybala will return as well”.
Juventus has shown they can develop young talent with potential: “Kean as a starter? He is improving, but for now that’s over the top. Higuain is also available so we’ll see whether to start him or not. Mandzukic third option? Our third option still plays 40 games. If you want to be part of this team you have to account for internal competition. The trust I have for Mandzukic is undeniable”.
A past player came to pay a visit: “Pirlo? We had time to speak. Unfortunately time passes for everyone. It’s unlikely for another Pirlo to ever come by. He told me he plans to play another year”.
