"Vacation, vacation and rest and party. You have to enjoy it!" Blaise Matuidi is a world champion, and it still seems hard for him to believe. "It's a stupendous sensation, I'm living a dream that one has as a kid and I'm extremely proud," said the midfielder to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The next step for Blaise, in regards to his personal successes, could be the Champions League. "We're trying for it. The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo is great news, it'll help us knowing that now, the best play with us. Certainly, I imagine that it'll be an honor for him to share the locker room with a world champion like me," Matuidi said with a laugh. "Jokes aside, I'm happy and satisfied of what our club was able to do. To have a player like him wear the bianconero shirt is extraordinary; his transfer was a big surprise for me."
From the French national team to his club, Matuidi shared some similarities between the Blues and Juventus. "The need to give your best is a common factor, but the two managers are very similar. Both Allegri and Deschamps are two true leaders, two conductors, brilliant at guiding a team and managing the group. I'm proud to be part of their teams."
