When Italy won the World Cup in Berlin back in 2006 Cristian Zaccardo was part of the squad, and last night he watched three of his former teammates play their last match for the Azzurri. In an exclusive interview with GianlucaDiMarzio.com the former Milan defender talked about the match against Sweden:”Sensations? I’m at a loss for words, things like this happen every sixty years. I feel terrible especially for my teammates from the 2006 World Cup. Like Buffon said I’m sad for the system, I feel sad for the players that leave the national team this way, for the loss. But I congratulate Buffon, he held himself accountable in that moment. He showed he’s a great man. De Rossi? I can imagine the tension, what was at stake was too important, I understand the anxiety, I had it watching it on TV. New coach? I would hire someone like Ancelotti. We need some certainties since some veterans won’t be there anymore, we need someone with experience on the bench who can help young players grow
