After the UEFA Nations League, Roberto Mancini's Italy is ready to get serious. Tomorrow in Udine, they will face-off against Finland for the debut of the UEFA EURO qualifying matches. "Now, our real goal begins. Starting tomorrow, this team will play great games and score goals," stated the 54-year-old Italian on the eve of the clash.
Speaking on the possible formation to play tomorrow: "We still have time until tonight, then the lists will have to be delivered. The hope is that whoever starts and enters the field will do well."
One of the players under the most observation is that of Juventus' 19-year-old attacker, Moise Kean. "We will see first if he will play tomorrow. Then I expect him to do what he knows how to do. He does not have the experience of Lorenzo Insigne, but has physical strength and knows how to score."
A mention of their opponent: "Finland is a difficult team to deal with, we have studied them. They have done very well in recent years and know that Teemu Pukki is one of their best players."
For Mancini's Italy, a second start? "We say that this is the primary objective. We have honored the Nations League to the end, but tomorrow's game is starting to be fundamental also for our ranking and for the draw."
