Italy beat Armenia 9-1 to close their unbeaten Euro 2020 qualification campaign. After the match, manager Roberto Mancini was understandably satisfied. He spoke to Rai Sport: "it was a beautiful evening, the last match of qualifying. You don't score 9 goals by chance in an international match. We gave everything we could have. The best year? It can only be when you win something."
"These are all young guys who are getting better game after game, it's only a question of time. The draw? Now let's enjoy this qualification where we won every game, it's never been done and is extraordinary. Then we have six months to prepare for the competition. The difficulty is leaving someone home who deserves to be there."
