It's rare for players to admit publically they weren't up to the standards of a club they played for, but Mauricio Isla showed a lot of humility in an interview to Corriere dello Sport. The Chilean player has been performing well at Cagliari, he's grateful that Juventus sent him to Sardegna:"I accepted the transfer with enthusiam. I never considered myself a champion or a world class player and I don't want to be considered as such. I'm just a player that tries to work as hard as possible and give satisfactions to fans and to reach the club's goals as soon as possible. Going to play for one of the best teams in Italy was a dream but also a surprise since I lived beautiful years in Udine. Then I got hurt and when things took a turn for the worse Juventus' offer arrived. Maybe I wasn't up to the standards of a team where there were so many champions, but they were two fantastic years for me. I had a chance to play with some of the best players in the world
