After a successful spell in Lega Pro despite a poor start, Abdelaye Diakite is now being rumoured to leave Italy. The 27 year old Siracusa man from Mali has been linked to three clubs.Early rumours suggest the first statement of interest has come from OH Leuven and Royale Union Saint Gilloise, two clubs that play in Proximus League, Belgium's second division.
Interest for Diakite hasn't been limited to Belgium. His representatives at DGP Management has linked him to Alki Oroklini who were just promoted to Cyprus's first division. This could be a tempting move for DIakite as he would gain valuable first division experience. The player has asked for time to evaluate his options and hasn't ruled out staying in Italy. After successful spells at Teramo and Siracusa the defender can either stay in Italy or start a new adventure abroad, where interest isn't lacking.
