Inter, Spalletti: "We didn't suffer anything. Keita & Candreva? I expect more."

Three consecutive ties, this one coming after those against Roma and Juventus, completed without officially securing a spot for next year's Champions League, nor convincing with a great presentation. Inter's manager Luciano Spalletti spoke to the press after the team's 0-0 draw against Udinese.

"We didn't suffer anything. We lost some balls and were less precise. Udinese, playing the way they were, took off a few more times than we did. It's not that they pressed us more, we needed to do more in the second half because they had ran out of energy. It's clear when you're able to find space inside, between the lines, we needed to finish our actions with more speed and quality. We put 10 balls in a deep area, putting the ball behind and never finding the player who could close the action with the most advantageous situation."

On starting with just one central attacker in the beginning and then playing Lautaro and Icardi together in attack: "We have balance and started the match the way we needed to, during halftime I played two forward attackers and we covered less. If we play the match by reversals in the front, in an open pitch, we have difficulty. For this we try and dominate play, with a goal from passes. I would expect something more from Keita and Candreva when they enter 10' from the ending, when the match is a little slower and not as difficult. If this impulse doesn't arrive, it becomes difficult. I played three offensive players in the second half, it's the most you can do."
