Bielsa emerges as candidate for Roma bench

Could Marcelo Bielsa arrive to manage Roma? The Leeds manager, who was close to signing on with Lazio in 2016, is rumored to take over for Ranieri on the giallorosso bench next season. Bringing the Argentinian manager to Trigoria is a strong temptation for Roma's leadership. As it seems unlikely that Gasperini will leave Atalanta and Sarri will either remain at Chelsea or go to Milan or Juventus, the rumors around a Bielsa-Roma deal are gaining legs.

Even Federic Massara, although he will no longer be the Sporting Director for Roma next season, is a fan of Bielsa. At the beginning of the week, Bielsa will meet with Leeds management to see if there's a way to continue their project together. His contract is for 3 million pounds a season and a break-up between the English club and manager is probable, especially after the recent elimination in the Championship. More updates to come on the potential arrival of "El Loco" at Roma.
