The planning for Inter's future post-Antonio Conte has already begun after the coach resolved his contract with the title-winning coach. The nerazzurri have clear thoughts on who should be picked to succeed him at the job.
The most concrete and possible option is the profile of Simone Inzaghi. Inter has already sought out the Lazio coach (currently at the biancocelesti offices is Inzaghi's agent Tullio Tinti): for several reasons he is the most sensible choice. Tactically, economically, and his enthusiasm for the role.
The dream hire for Inter is Massimiliano Allegri. Marotta called the former Juventus coach, but for some time Allegri has had a pact with the bianconeri and is negotiating over salary. There is distance between Juventus's offer and the coach's demands (€7m and €10-11m), the sides will be forced to meet to try to complete the marriage. Pirlo is not yet cast off, and in the case that an agreement with Allegri cannot be found he will remain as Juve's coach. Marotta therefore is still tracking Allegri for the Inter job.
Regarding Inzaghi's future, it could be told following the meeting this even with Lotito. Should he leave, the biancoceleste president is considering two names: Sinisa Mihajlovic and Walter Mazzarri. The coaching carousel could come to a stop, with Spalletti moving to Napoli's bench.
