Gabigol managed to show some promise during the ten minutes he played against Lazio. It took only a few plays for Gabigol to solicit applause and enthusiasm from all the fans in San Siro. It was an unexpectedly strong show of support which surprised the Brazilian himself: “I am happy for how the last game went. It was a special moment for me. The stadium was amazing. No one becomes a starter after immediately arriving. There are great players in Italy; but no one has my style, and I must adapt.”
He will have time to adapt in 2017 as he will certainly remain at Inter: “I will not return to Brazil. I am very happy at Inter. I have been in Milan for three months, and I am adapting. It is clear that I want to play more but I must have patience.”
