The deal with the blaugrana is in standby, while the position of Inter remains steady: Lautaro can leave for his release clause of €111 million or an offer in the region. Barcelona has not yet presented a satisfactory offer to Inter. Barcelona additionally are facing new regulations due to the current economic climate around their total possible market expenditure, to further complicate a deal.
Inter are still making preparations for an eventual replacement for Lautaro, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a target. The Arsenal striker is also on the radar of Barcelona should they not succeed in landing the Argentine from Inter.
