Napoli are looking at center backGabriel Magalhaes, 1997-born Brazilian currently at Lille. His contract expires in 2023, and the azzurri are looking at an investment of €25m with a €2m after tax salary proposed. Gabriel is asking for slightly higher wages of €2.5m. Napoli still must open up a non-EU player slot for the Brazilian. He is being targeted as the next piece for Gattuso's defense.
There is another wrinkle involving Napoli in that Ancelotti had already welcomed Gabriel in February for a medical, with a deal agreed to with Lille during the pre-Covid 19 era.
Napoli are also working on several contract extensions for players, with Zielinski (currently expires 2021) and Mario Rui (2022) on the schedule and with steps already having been made on renewing Maksimovic (2021), with new contacts between the sides.
