Inter struggled in their first outing after the international break as today’s matchup at home at the San Siro against Cagliari ended in a loss for Frank de Boer’s team. The coach provided his analysis to Sky Sport afterwards: “For 70 minutes there were no big obstacles. But we had few scoring chances, even though we completed 20 crosses. It shows that we need to convert chances better in the penalty area. We went ahead in the match and immediately after we forgot how to play the game, when instead it should have been more simple because Cagliari had to stretch and was leaving space. Instead, we gave up the wide areas and weren’t compact. But we're doing a job, and still have to figure out if our problems are mental or of another kind. The tense atmosphere around Icardi didn’t help him to be sure. He always keeps his cool from the penalty spot, today it didn’t go like that.”
