After winning their first three Serie A matches, Inter are now getting ready to make their seasonal debut in the Champions League against Slavia Prague tomorrow, manager Antonio Conte explained the challenges of the competition in the pre match press conference:”Champions League? I’ve won it. I played in four finals and lost three of them, so I know both sensations. I know how hard it is to win it and how painful it is to lose the final. I don’t like to talk about luck, but it’s the yep of competition but where a shot that hits the post and doesn’t go in changes the course of a season”
Conte takes about his team’s motivation:”We want to make our fans proud by playing a football that enthusiasm them and one that they can identify with. Setting objectives is hard, we’ll see along the way what happens. The important thing is not to have regrets and knowing we gave 110%. I’m a realistic person, starting well is positive, but we are aware of the difficulties we could face. We are a team where the only person who won trophies is Godin, so we all need to understand what is needed to reach objectives and make our fans happy”.
