Inter manager Antonio Conte did not hide his satisfaction following a 2-0 Serie A victory over Genoa, which followed a 2-2 Champions League tie against Borussia Monchengladbach earlier this week. He spoke with Sky Sport after the match.
"From the beginning we commanded the match. We entered the pitch looking to play well and we did. Sometimes you unlock the match first but also with Borussia we played a great match, according to my technical evaluations. Against them we allowed 2 shots, today basically zero. There's satisfaction for the fact that we came with the strength of a team that is conscious."
"Eriksen? We do not need to beat this conversation to death. He's part of the roster, he's a player that if he deserves to play, he will play. If he does not, he won't. He has clear characteristics and we try to put him in the best position to express them. At times he's able to a lot, other times less. We are trying to help him in all the ways to grow in intensity. But it bothers me to talk about it systematically. And you cannot go from a "fair game" to a disaster."
