Atalanta lost their second straight Serie A match, falling 3-1 to Sampdoria. Manager Gasperini spoke with Sky Sport after the match.
"This is one of those matches where the manager feels the responsibility for the result. Today I did a bit of experimenting. The guys played a great match in many ways, we weren't dangerous enough, though. At the first situation we allowed a goal. It's the price you pay when you want to quickly insert many players. You cannot pretend like the team is the same, our quality in the last 20 meters against an organized Sampdoria team was missing."
"We need to make many players grow, making many changes causes the team to lose consistency and security. Over the course of months maybe everyone will grow and this will allow us to be better on the return legs."
