Inter simply cannot stop: eleven consecutive wins in Serie A for Antonio Conte's side, with a 1-0 against Cagliari thanks to Matteo Darmian's gol. Inter is still eleven points above Milan, and scudetto is closer: "We are starting to see the target closer, but it needs to be reached. We have to continue with the mentality and the desire we've shown today".
Inter's coach underlines the importance of these three points: "I'm happy because many players are fighting for the first time to mantain our spot at the top of the league. I wanted to share my celebration with the players, it was right to reward them after having played three matches in eight days with three straight wins. The matches left are always less, and we are keeping winning. Many critics have led to a big desire from everybody to have a sort of revenge, it seemed that the coach had to be replaced, the players were bad: now we've changed the situation but we haven't still done anything".
Conte has talked also about his overall time with Inter: "Last year in Europe we reached the Europa League final, I don't see other Italian teams in that situation: the last team who managed to do this was Juventus. We're doing something extraordinary in numbers and in the time period, as I've been told to bring back Inter to win within three years. I'm happy about the path we're building, but I don't forget what we did last year after ten years where in Italy there hasn't been any discussion".
