With the international break ending, Serie A play is kicking back off. Inter returns to the pitch Sunday against Torino at the San Siro. Antonio Conte spoke on his team and their upcoming match.
"The situation is difficult, not just for Inter. We're playing in European competitions and play important matches every three days. We must try to face the situation in the best way possible, hoping that the fate of injuries and the virus make us smile a little bit more. We must work. We know our strengths and weaknesses. We think about ourselves and I hope that there's intellectual honesty from whomever comes to give judgement. Being considered the most competitive means that we're doing extraordinary things in a little bit of time."
On Eriksen: "I make the decisions for the best of Inter. I think that Christian had many chances and played more than his other teammates. When I find it opportunistic, I'll choose him. Otherwise I will make other decisions. A role in front of the defense for him? No, it would penalize him. I hope that our balance remains until the end unlike years past. The more teams involved, the more work, organization and mentality will have to emerge."
