Inter, Ausilio:"Call Sassuolo about Berardi? We'll see, hopefully no one gets offended"

Inter was one of the protagonists of the summer transfer window thanks to their big name acquisitions like Joao Mario, Banega, and Gabigol as well the soap operas surrounding Berardi and Icardi. The nerazzurri's sporting director Piero Ausilio talked about his club's moves in an interview to Corriere dello Sport:"Joao Mario was one of the most difficult moves because he had just won the Euro and had a 60 million exit clause while being owned by a club that usually doesn't give discounts. Also negotiating with Lotito for Candreva was no joke. Dzeko? He's an excellent player and he would have certainly inserted himself well at Inter, but he was an alternative to Icardi whom we never considered selling, we never started a negotiation with Napoli. Berardi? In reality it's not like a deal collapsed because we never started a negotiation. But he's a player I'm in love with from a football point of view. Will I call Sassuolo? We'll see, hopefully no one will get offended"
