Following a meeting between the club directors and manager Inzaghi, Inter accelerated their efforts to sign Robin Gosens, the plan was originally to make a significant addition at wing back in summer, but seen the issues with extending Perisic's contract, the club decided to anticipate Gosens' arrival.
While Newcastle also expressed interest in the German international, Gosens wanted to stay in Italy and has agreed to terms on a 5 year deal. Now Inter are working out the final details of the transfer with Atalanta, who asked for 25 million, while the offer was 22 million plus bonuses on a loan with forced option to buy.
In addition to Gosens, Inter are also working on signing Caicedo, who is currently at Genoa, to be a backup striker with Sensi heading to Sampdoria on loan.
