Hoffenheim, Sule: "Milan and Inter? It would be a step backwards they can barely qualify for Europe"

"Milan and Inter? It would be a step backwards" clear message by Niklas Sule: is it the 'German' in him speaking or is he maybe right? The twenty-one year old defender from Hoffenheim is one of the most promising players in the Bundesliga and world football. On the 31st of August he also fulfilled his ambition to start with the national team, in the occasion of Germany-Finland. If Hoffenheim is still undefeated in the league, Niklas deserves quite a bit of credit. In this incredible 2016 Sule was also able to land a silver medal in the last Olympics.

The player is obviously performing at incredibly high levels and has attracted interest from around Europe, namely Milan and Inter. Sule however seemingly has no intention of opening up doors to a move: "I know my agent has been contacted but for me a move to Italy would make no sense. Milan and Inter have lost the magic that made them special. They had great players in the past, the club name has a certain weight, the fans are welcoming... but the clubs are in decline. For someone like me they would be a step back, they struggle to qualify for Europe... I prefer the Premier League".
