Higuain on the criticism with national team:"Seeing my mother suffer kills me"

While Gonzalo Higuain continues to score at an incredible pace at the club level, he has struggled in big matches with Argentina's national team. The Juventus striker talked about the impact of his failures in finals on the international level in an interview to TyCSports:"At times there are no words to describe the feeling, it's hard to explain, but these are things that happen. This is football you play against other teams and we didn't have luck on our side. I do think we made many people happy for a long period of time. I don't know why we get to the final and then they kill us. But people have the right to criticize and insult, if they're happy like that it's all fine. But my humble opinion is we are people before footballers. If they're happy insulting me that's fine. I've been very upset, but I look forward, I have a long career. Seeing my mother be upset kills me. You may ask why but she doesn't deserve it for all she did and fought for me"
