It's not been easy to get back on track for Adel Taarabt after what he's gone through at Benfica. Genoa and, most importantly, Juric, have got him back now and brought him to his 2014 Milan days: "All credit goes to Juric - has the player said to Tuttosport - He made me love football and has given me the will to run after the ball again. It hasn't been easy to succeed after a year in which I almost didn't play. He's trusted me though, has accompanied me through my return and has always given me advices. I'm sad he's not with us anymore but that's how football is".

His problem is now this one, Juric isn't there anymore but Ballardini has taken his place: "We should say right now that it isn't only Juric's fault for Genoa's poor results. We're all responsible. There's now a new coach with other ideas and another mentality. The start at Crotone has been positive and we have to follow this path".

Some games didn't help Juric though, like the derby for example: "Obviously. I remember that we played better in the first 20 minutes though, if we would have scored it would have been a whole different game".

About his role: "I prefer to play behind a striker trying to score and make some assists. I know how to adapt to any tactical system though". Taarabt arrived at Genova on the 10th of January with a two year loan and the club will have to decide whether to active their option or not in June: "I want to do well here because Genoa has helped me a lot. This team's value is between the 9th and 12th spot for me. We'll see what the club does during the transfer window this summer".
