Genoa are looking at adding young players on the transfer market to contribute and provide upside. After adding fullback Silvan Hefti from Young Boys, new sporting director Johannes Spors is looking at another addition.
The club's objective for January is Leo Skiri Østigard, 22-year-old defender on loan at Stoke City from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The young Norwegian, who has represented the country at all levels, is set to be recalled to Brighton.
Genoa are working on adding him on a new loan. There is very little distance left between the sides and the deal could close in the coming hours. The player could arrive in Italy by Monday.
