Four Italian teams are set to start the Champions League season with their group matches. Inter and Napoli will play today, Roma and Juventus tomorrow, with the Bianconeri going to Valencia.
The Mestalla game will be special for Momo Sissoko, former player of both teams who has decided to end his career in Hong Kong: "I have so many memories with Valencia, I've won a Liga, an UEFA cup and an European supercup there.I remember so many teammates like Fiore and Di Vaio, I already had Italy in my future" has he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The beginnings weren't easy but the winning Juventus started from there: "We were at the end of a cycle, rebuilding the whole club after the previous earthquake. Juve are now always winning also for what we've lived in those years, we've built the floor for the castle there is today. It's a sure thing the current Juve is stronger than mine, they're on the heels of the strongest Juve from the past. If Valencia was like my first girlfriend, Juventus has been like a mother".
Sissoko then talks about the players: "Emre Can plays a bit like me, Cancelo will become a super top on the right wing. It's strange seeing Marchisio and Buffon with other shirts but it's nice they still want to compete. Ronaldo? Such a big club gets the best players. With CR7, Juve is like Bayern, City, Barca and Real: the UCL winner is among these teams. I've played against Cristiano in Liga and Premier: he really is able to do everything".
