Full points at home in the Stadio Artemio Franchi, still without victory when playing away. This is Fiorentina - a club with two faces at the start of the 2018/19 season. One could say that their winless away form is due to their hard opponents (away matches against Sampdoria, Napoli, Inter, and today Lazio), but to succeed in the league, you must be able to win while on the road.

At the Stadio Olimpico today, Stefano Pioli's team lost due to a Ciro Immobile goal off a corner; they tried until the last minute to even the score, but many chance were wasted. Speaking to DAZN, Pioli stated: "It is too bad, because it was not an easy game. We had the possibility to score at the end. This team is young and knows how to interpret matches well. For this as a coach I should be happy, but now it's time to get results".

He continued: "In short, we have a strong feeling of regret. We played against a strong team and despite this we suffered little by creating much more than them. We lack concreteness and determination in the opposing area."

With only one point in four games when on the road, many Viola fans are starting to worry, but this does not apply to Pioli: "We have faced teams of great value, among the strongest in Italy. It's normal. As well as the fact that at home the fans give us much more energy. If we cannot convert chances, it becomes difficult to win."

He ended the talk speaking about individuals, starting with Pjaca, who has still not convinced Pioli: "Today he was more lively than usual, he often tried one on one's. I expect more, but I think he took a step forward. He has a good physical condition, but must grow mentally. Chiesa? He fought today, shooting and dribbling. He gave his all with a lot of quality today. He is a growing player. This past week was not easy for him, but the fact that he responded with a positive performance is an important sign of his growth".
