Atalanta will face Sampdoria this Sunday, a game in which there should be a lot of entertainment between two teams that have become important in Serie A. Luigi Delneri knows something about it, as he's coached both teams in the past. To this day, Delneri still has a lot of affection for both squads: "I expect 90 spectacular minutes between two teams that play very well. I'd like a draw with a lot of goals". Gasperini and Giampaolo, Atalanta and Sampdoria coaches, have convinced Delneri: "Marco Giampaolo is ready to do the quality leap, but Ferrero's club (Sampdoria, i.e.) deserves to play in Europe. What surprises me from Giampaolo is his capacity to get players back on track: Look at this year's Defrel...".
Delneri has other colleagues he values a lot in Serie A: "I particularly appreciate Pioli. Then Semplici, who's deserved Serie A working under the radar. I also like Empoli's Andreazzoli, who's not won a lot of points but has made his team play well. Among the younger ones, I like De Zerbi, Gattuso and D'Aversa". The top coaches still sit on abroad benches though: "People always talk about Guardiola, but let's talk about Sarri. He's done great things at Napoli, and now he's doing very well with Chelsea".
The former Atalanta, Roma, Chievo, Sampdoria and Udinese -among others- coach, has clear ideas for his future. "I'm waiting for the best project. I'd prefer coaching in Italy but I'd also evaluate abroad offers".
