It was the second tie in a row for Fiorentina. After tying their last match 2-2 against Udinese, they tied 0-0 against Milan today. Paulo Sousa, the viola coach, analyzed the match to Sky Sport after the final whistle: "The team had the right spirit, I asked for more aggression so we could really hurt the opposition and I saw that today. In the final part of the match, Milan put us in difficulty a few times, but it was normal because they were fresher, having defended for a good part of the match."
Ilicic's error? "He'll get over this. He started the season well, he is an important player for us and attacks the space with a change of pace. After the penalty miss, we continued to control the game and we only really ran risks at the end when we got stretched out: we just were missing a goal."
On the Luiz Adriano incident: "I do not comment on refereeing incidents, but the relevance to the entire game. I think the officials are trying to do their best, errors happen in every match." Bernardeschi? He needs to work and improve on playing with his back to goal. We are trying to teach him to play more internally, but on the wing he helps the team out more and I do not believe that this role limits him in any way."
