After their win against Bologna last Monday, Milan are still alive in the race for the last Champions League spot with three matches to go. The rossoneri will travel to Tuscany to face Fiorentina tomorrow, manager Rino Gattuso was asked what he expects from his opponents during the pre match press conference:”I don’t think it will be easy at all. Milan hasn’t won in Florence in awhile and Fiorentina is a team that can always cause problems. We need to be ready to face a tough match”
Gattuso discussed the status of some of his key players:”The returning players are a great boost for us. Paqueta and Biglia won’t be playing tomorrow but it’s very good to have them train with us. I firmly believe the players have given everything, I’d bet my life. They have always given their all and worked hard to overcome any obstacles”
Gattuso was asked about finishing fourth:”We have to focus on ourselves and nothing else, we can’t waste any energy on worrying about our rivals. We are disappointed about having dropped out of the top four, there were moments we could have done better”.
