After the important home win against Milan, Roma prepares to face Udinese in the mid-week round of games. Fonseca's squad, stille plagued with injury, will be fleshed out by the return of Justin Kluivert, who served his suspension after the red card against Sampdoria. Juan Jesus lamented a problem on his left thigh, while Diawara, Zappacosta, Pellegrini and Mkhitaryan are still recovering from their injuries and will need time to return.
As Fonseca revelaed in the pre-match press conference, the Giallorossi will start the same defence that played against Milan, with Fazio, Smalling and Kolarov, while Florenzi and Spinazzola re the contenders for the right-back spot.
In midfield Veretout will play alongside Mancini, who impressed the coach in the new role against the Rossoneri. The trio behind the lone striker Dzeko will be formed by Kluivert, Zaniolo and one between Pastore and Perotti, with the former PSG player the main candidate to start from the bench after playing for three consecutive games. Should Perotti be given the nod, Zaniolo will play as number 10, while the Argentinian will start as left winger. Here's the full expected line-up:
Roma (4-2-3-1): Pau Lopez; Spinazzola, Fazio, Smalling, Kolarov; Veretout, Mancini; Kluivert, Zaniolo, Perotti; Dzeko.
