Fourteen shots and 68% of possession were not enough for Sassuolo to get away from Meazza with a few points. Inter prevailed 2-1, but Roberto De Zerbi tries to look at the positive aspects of the game in the post-match interview with Dazn.
"In the first half we shot very little on goal, then in the final balance we shot fifteen times and we had more opportunities than Inter - explains the Sassuolo coach - In the end, we play with three in the backline as we did against Roma, adding an extra offensive player. Against Inter's 5-3-2 is difficult, we shot a lot."
A debated issue, however, is the penalty requested by Sassuolo for a contact between De Vrij and Raspadori which starts the action of Inter's 2-0: "In my opinion, the contact on Raspadori is a penalty - admits De Zerbi - he tries not to fall then clearly if you shoot from one side to the other you give in as a natural movement. I don't like Irrati as a referee, just as I don't like some players. I don't like it beyond the episode".
"Traore is a talent"
Traorè scored the 2-1 final goal, praised by De Zerbi: "Traorè is a talent who had Djuricic, Boga and Defrel in front of him. He didn't find much space, but we are aware of his qualities. If he can express his talent with more quality he can become a player of the highest level. Today we finished the game with two 2000s and two 2002. This is the club's policy, net of the many absences. "
