Chelsea's left-back Emerson Palmieri is set to leave the Premier League and join Olympique Lyonnais. The two clubs will complete the deal today, with the player choosing Lyone over Napoli, who were also interested in signing him.
Lyon will pay €1 million for the loan of the Italian full-back. What remains to be seen is if the French side will have an option to buy the player at the end of the loan or if no clauses - not option nor obligation to buy - will be included in the deal between clubs - as reported by L'Equipe.
Emerson will be in France today to undergo a medical and then sign his contract as a new Lyon player. The French club pushed to complete the signing of the player as coach Peter Bosz would like to have him available for the match against Clermont on Sunday, L'Equipe revealed.
