Chelsea’s season ended with the FA Cup win, and now the focus has shifted to sorting out the manager position. The Blues met with Slavisa Jokanovic yesterday, the former Chelsea player recently led Fulham to a promotion to the Premier League. In addition to his existing ties to the club, the Serbian coach also speaks Russian so he's among Abramovic's favorites.
There's been a first approach, and there will be another one this evening- while Jokanovic has ties to the club, he does lack experience compared to some of the other candidates like Maurizio Sarri and Laurent Blanc.
In addition to sorting through potential candidates, there’s still the matter surrounding Antonio Conte who is still officially Chelsea’s manager. The former Juventus coach has no intention of negotiating with the Blues, should he be sacked he would be due around €20 million for his buyout clause.
