Cagliari started the new year by announcing a contract extension with Rafael. The keeper joined the club back in 2016, s far he has appeared in 32 matches for the Sardinian club in all competitions, last season he became known as a specialist on penalty kicks after neutralizing three of them. Rafael signed a new deal through 2019.
