Brescia chairman Massimo Cellino discussed the future scenarios for the Serie A season amidst the Coronavirus pandemic in an interview with Corriere dello Sport: "Starting again? Finish the seasono? I am already thinking about next season, just that. Cups, the Scudetto...if Lotito wants it, he can have it. He believes that he as an invincinble team, let him believe that".
Football is not a priority at the moment, Cellino believes: "There so much more. We dont' have to think about when we can start the season again, but if we survive to this. And if we want to talk about football, we have focus on next season. We have to be realistic, this is like the plague. We can't play again this season. We have to think about next year. Someone has not realized yet what is happening, and those people are worse than the virus. I don't believe in miracles, I stopped doing that a long time ago."
"The season is over, if someone wants this damn title they can take it. Stop. End of. And I am not saying this because Brescia are bottom of the table. We are there because we deserve to be there. I am the first one to deserve that. A third of the league is gone, now we have to cut a third of players' salaries, a third of tv money and a third of the taxes football clubs pay. It's the easier way to fix things"
