Newcastle, under new ownership, Saudi Arabia-controlled PIF (Public Investment Fund), will soon welcome changes to the playing squad and the staff with new faces in the owner's box after Mike Ashley.
The new ownership has invested around £300 million (€350 million) to purcahse 80% of the club. The rest remains with PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media group.
The arrival of a new owner has sparked the imaginations of fans, hoping for a return to glory for the club, especially through the transfer market, which the new owners assume to be big players in.
The first task for Newcastle is to solidify their coaching role. The name favored to take over the 'Magpies' is Brendan Rodgers, current coach of Leicester City. In order to land him Newcastle would have to pay a €16 million release clause.
Rodgers could be the man to drive the ship at Newcastle as it sets on a new course.
